LCJ, started in 2008 with its first Baton Rouge camp, is a weekend camp designed to train high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to be pro-life leaders through education and leadership skills. In 2012, LCJ weekend camps will be held in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Ruston, and the Joshua Leadership Institute will be held in the summer.

LCJ is open to people of all religious denominations. Material is presented from a Christian pro-life view.

The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Louisiana Right to Life, and Louisiana Students for Life.  All chaperones will be approved by the Knights of Columbus.  Pro-life college students will assist with the weekend, but adults will be present at all times, including Vince Whittington, Area Coordinator of the Knights of Columbus, and Benjamin Clapper, Director of LA Right to Life.
