Louisiana Pro-Life Week
In 2009, SCR 57, authored by Senator Long and Representative Hoffman and drafted by Louisiana Right to Life, annually established the first week of June as "Louisiana Pro-Life Week".
In 2010, Louisiana Pro-Life Week will be held May 31 - June 4.
Reception at the Governor's Mansion
The highlight of the week will be an invitation-only reception hosted by Louisiana Right to Life at the Governor's Mansion on the evening of Wednesday, June 2nd. The reception will honor pregnancy center and adoption agency directors, along with pro-life legislators.
Promote the Choose Life Plate!
During the week, we encourage pro-lifers across the state to make a strong push to promote the Choose Life License plate. Whether it is in Sunday or Wednesday church services, at schools, or in the general community, help us double the number of plates on the road through our promotional materials! For churches, consider having announcements in church and in church bulletins, and set up tables outside of church with more information.
