Hyde Amendment: a limitation amendment that restricts the direct federal funding of abortion via tax-dollars.  Originally enacted in 1976, the Hyde Amendment must be renewed by Congress every year.

The current Congress and President-elect Obama are in favor of terminating the Hyde Amendment and allowing your tax-dollars to directly fund abortion.  If we do not stop them, our "hides" will be paying for abortion through our very own tax dollars!
