40 Days for Life NOLA 2011!

40 Days for Life, a nationally coordinated campaign, will be happening in New Orleans from September 28th - November 6th, 2011. While it is primarily sponsored by New Orleans Right to Life, 40 Days for Life NOLA is a project of numerous pro-life people and groups of all denominations. See below for important events you need to attend!

40 Days for Life consists of three components:

• Prayer and Fasting: people of faith throughout our city joining in prayer and fasting for an end to abortion.
• Peaceful Vigil: a 40-day 12 hour a day peaceful and prayerful public vigil outside outside Louisiana's largest abortion facility in Metairie near Lakeside Mall. Visit our vigil calendar and then sign up to either adopt a day or hour, especially if you are a church or group!
• Community Outreach: taking a positive pro-life message to every corner of our city through targeted outreach.

• Date: Tuesday, Sept. 27th at 6:30 PM
• Location: Women's New Life Center, 3032 Ridgelake Dr, Metairie
• Join fellow pro-lifers in prayer and fellowship on the vening before 40 Days for Life begins. The event will feature prayer, song and dynamic speakers, including:
  • Cindy Collins, Crisis Pregnancy Center and Abortion Recovery Ministry Founder
  • Fr. Chris Delerno, Parochial Vicar at St. Edward the Confessor Church
  • Angie Thomas, Executive Director at Woman's New Life Center
  • Ben Clapper, Executive Director of Louisiana Right to Life
