Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood: Against the Values of Louisiana... and Expanding.

Download our PDF Report on Planned Parenthood

On July 1, 2006, Planned Parenthood ofHouston Abortion Facility Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta, Inc, merged with the much larger and wealthier Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, Inc.

Shortly after, the strengthened Planned Parenthood purchased a six-story building in Houston that will become the largest free-standing abortion facility in the Western Hemisphere with 640 sq feet dedicated to performing late-term abortions.

Positioned outside the gates of the University of Houston, the new abortion facility is situated in a low-income minority district of Houston and is expected to open in the Fall of 2008 (Learn more about the new abortion facility).

This expansion shows that:

1. Planned Parenthood wants to perform abortions through all nine months of pregnancy on the women and unborn children of Texas and nearby Louisiana.
2. There is nothing to stop the merged Planned Parenthood from expanding beyond their two facilities in Louisiana that lead women to the destructive decision of abortion.

Against the Values of LA: Facts about Planned Parenthood:

Plenty of Abortion, No Adoption:

As the nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood in 2005-2006 performed nearly 300,000 abortions across the country. In its annual report for that year, PP reported ZERO adoption referrals (Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) 2006 Annual Report).

Not-for-Profit? Try Money Making Industry:

In 2005-2006, Planned Parenthood, a "non-profit" corporation, reported profits of $55.8 million while it received over $300 million in state and federal tax dollars (PPFA 2006 Annual Report).

Racial Targeting:

Planned Parenthood is not only the largest abortion provider in the nation, but it targets African-American babies for abortion. Here are some facts:

  • 78% of Planned Parenthood facilities are in minority communities.
  • African-Americans make up 12% of the population of the United States, but constitute 35% of abortions in the U.S.
  • Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a well-known support of eugenics and clearly wanted to root out the African-American population.

Now, Planned Parenthood and its racist agenda has been caught on tape. The following videos by Lila Rose and the LA Advocate, an independent publication made up of students from UCLA, revealed the racist tendencies of Planned Parenthood.
