More information to come
St. Landry Right to Life will sponsor our 30th annual Walk for Life on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church on South Union Street in Opelousas, beginning at 10 a.m. A short program in church features special guest speakers, Dr. Brent Prather, Trista Littell, and our main speakers, Ben Clapper, Executive Director of Louisiana Right to Life, and Sancha Smith, Louisiana Director for Concerned Women for America. The Walk for Life proceeds to the New Life Center on East Landry Street, ending around noon. As a special treat for the 30th anniversary, Tony Chachere's will provide their delicious jambalaya for the walkers, and the Catholic Daughters will serve drinks and sweets. This event is open to all, and we encourage families and groups to attend. Invite your neighbor or friend from work to come with you. Strollers or wagons are recommended for young children, but we DO NOT allow skates, skate boards, bikes, etc. for safety reasons. A hay wagon will be available for those who cannot walk. No children under 14 unless accompanied by an adult. For more information, call John or Jeri Miller at 337-948-9559.
